Racing MXC MCFederation Club
Championship Round 10 Race
Report: Lynsey Hamer – Photo courtesy of The track at Finningley was prepared by Ed Bradley, Matthew
and crew at DMP to a fantastic standard and held up to the pounding given to it
by some 180 riders. The three full blocks were done and dusted by five and
everyone went home happy after enjoying a great day at the track with Team 90.
The little Autos were unbelievable with 32 on the track for the last round of
the Auto Dominator Challenge! The
club cannot emphasise how high the standard was in all groups this weekend and
the spectators really were treated to a great showcase of riding.
With the Championship finishing for the season today and many groups
going down to the wire there was everything to ride for. Out first as always went the Autos and it was great to see
almost a full line up of Autos hit the track!
There were four races for the Autos with only three counting for the
overall scoring, but the extra race was needed for the Auto Dominator
Challengers! Kian Collinwood was
just awesome to watch and scored yet another maximum points winning all the
motos with style and topping the podium yet again.
Lewis Wood also had a great day with some lovely riding to take the
second spot in on the podium. Jack
Greyshon improved every time out and a brilliant last race took him into overall
third, leaving Brad Holden in fourth. Out next went the Junior 65s and we were treated again to
another display of brilliance from Scott Russell as he flew through the sand at
Finningley. Maximum points for
Russell gave him a top place on the podium.
Consistent Tom Grimshaw took three second place finishes and well
deserved second place overall. Ryan
Thompson also had an excellent day and finished very well in all motos to take
overall third place. Next out went the Small Wheel 85 group and Joe Jacques was
just awesome to watch. Jacques
looked like he was coasting in all races and took a well deserved maximum points
winning all three races with some just fantastic riding.
Dee-Jay Walker was behind him leading the chasing pack, and rode three
excellent motos to take a well placed overall second.
James Camwell improved his results in each race and took the last place
on the podium with a great last race. Next out went the Big Wheel 85 group and again we saw some
truly great riding. Jordan Eccles
was excellent in all races, and just rode like a demon to take overall first
place. Lauren Collinwood was right
behind him chasing hard and took second overall in style.
Kenny Ryalls and Jack Camwell were tied on points in third place and an
excellent last race saw Ryalls take third place.
Wining the second race wasn’t enough to see Camwell on the podium as he
finished fourth overall. Next out went the Youth Open and again the racing was
fantastic. Reece Desoer had three
excellent races but really flew in the last moto to win it and take overall
first place. Matthew Callaghan, just
moved up a group, was tied on points with Desoer but the last race finish saw
Callaghan in second overall. Also
newly upgraded Macauley Madden had three excellent races, ending the day tied on
points with Sam Wragg. A great last
moto from Madden in overall third, with Wragg in fourth. Next up went the Novices and the usual full gate rolled
down to the start. Three great races
from consistent Martin Bostock saw him take overall first with some excellent
racing. Mike Dixon had an amazing
last race winning the last moto which took him into overall second.
Pete Swannack recovered very well from a poor first race and rode two
cracking motos to take the last podium spot just ahead of Anton Faulkes in
fourth overall. Last out went the Intermediate B group and as usual they
were great to watch. James Milne
recovered from a bad first race and won the next two motos to give him an
excellent first place overall. Scott
Matthews had obviously shaken off any lingering effects from his recent injury
and rode well to take overall second. Elliott
Hadman also had a poor first race but had two more great motos to take the last
podium spot in overall third. The Experts had their usual 2 races and were the usual
entertainment. Cory Nemeth was
unchallenged with two excellent motos and took overall first in fantastic style.
Harry Lawrence improved over the day and took home second place prize
money with some excellent riding. William
King also improved and overall third place. Thanks as always
must go to several people; Team 90, Eddymed, Squad 90 marshalls led by Mick
Sheriff, Score 90 consisting of Julie, Nic, Jodie and Chris and most of all the
riders!. As well as top 10 trophies in all groups the club gave out sweets
for all the riders, free rides on the raffle and extra prizes to the little
Autos. The Dominator Challenge was sponsored by Goldentyre, Spiral
Graphics, Danger UK, Feehilys MX and Racing Photos and saw the Auto kids get an
unbelievable cache of gear including Goldentyres for several Autos, fully
customised graphics kits, several set of Leatt graphics, background sets,
goggles, goody bags and allsorts of fantastic gear for all of them. It was
great to see so many riding well and lovely to see massive grins on faces when
they got handed all their treats! Well done to everybody for a great weekend of riding and
the next time we see you all will be the Presentation Evening on November 5th! Overalls: Autos:

courtesy of A wet and wild Saturday with heavy
overnight rain turned into a great days racing on Sunday with a track prepared
to perfection by Ed Bradley, Matthew and crew at DMP. The track soaked the
water and held up fantastically well to over 180 riders flying round the sand.
The three full blocks were done and dusted by five and everyone went home happy.
The little Autos were unbelievable with 29 on the track - with several club
members on holiday! Next out went the Youth Open and the
spectators stood in awe at Max Acres. A
crash in moto one left Acres dead last at the start and he rode like a demon to
pull it back to third, then won the next two races to take overall first with
3-1-1 finishes. Daryl Wallis had
three excellent races and upped his game to take 4-2-2 places and just get into
second overall. Hard work and
determination was the forte of Neil Roe. Roe
finished 2-3-4 to take third overall with some great racing. Next up went the Novices and the usual
full gate lined up. There was some
competitive riding in this group especially with prizes on offer for the top 10
riders. Elliott Hadman had an
excellent day and took 2-1-1 to place overall first with some lovely riding.
Martin Bostock had a shocking last race but had done enough with 1-2-8
places to take second overall. With

Racing MXC Club
Championship Round 8 & 9 Race
Report: Lynsey Hamer Out first went the Autos with the event
dominated by Kian Collinwood. With
fantastic daredevil riding throughout the event Collinwood showed some style to
win first overall on Saturday. Second
overall was Lewis Wood who started the day with a win but couldn’t match the
pace the rest of the day finishing second overall with 1-2-2.
Lewis McLeary was most consistent throughout the day and took overall
third with some hard racing. Sunday saw Kian Collinwood again stamp
his authority on the meeting. Maximum
points from the races put Collinwood again on the top step of the podium.
Ellis Jones improved each race and took second overall.
Jones was tied on points with Lewis Wood but Jones had the better last
moto leaving Wood in overall third. Consistent
strong racing again saw Lewis McLeary near the front of the pack in fourth
overall. Out next went the Junior 65s and this
was clearly dominated on Saturday by flying Lewis Hall.
Placing 3-1-1 Hall had a fantastic day in the FatCats sand and ploughed
through to overall first. Denny
Rapson had a most consistent day and finished 2-2-2 to take overall second in
his first race since breaking his arm – which obviously did not affect his
riding! Dane Clarke Reeves also had
a great day, winning the first race and with places 1-3-3 was the last on the
podium in overall third. Sunday saw fresh talent on the track and
he looked good! James Scott was back
and wound it on to take overall first with maximum points placing 1-1.
Denny Rapson again showed his ability with 2-2 finishes giving him a well
earned second overall. Lewis Hall
also showed his stuff again taking 3-3 with smooth flowing speed giving him
third overall. Next out went the Small Wheel 85 group
and on Saturday Jack Camwell had an awesome day and really powered through the
sand to take all three race wins with some stylish riding giving him the top
place on the podium with first overall. Keenan
Armstrong chased hard all day and took second overall finishing 2-2-2.
Joe Jacques improved throughout the day with 4-3-3 places giving him the
last podium position in overall third. Sunday saw Keenan Armstrong back in the
first spot and despite being unwell had places of 1-2 to take overall first with
some excellent riding. Keenan Hird
was just behind him and took 2-4 to take a hard fought and well earned second
place in front of consistent Joe Jacques who again showed lovely stylish riding
to take overall third just ahead of Tom Hume in fourth. Next out on Saturday went the Big Wheel
85 group and they were just awesome to watch.
Michael Eccles took the lead and held it throughout making it look
effortless. Maximum points to Eccles
with three moto wins which gave him a deserved overall first.
Behind him and riding hard to catch him was Gradie Featherstone.
Featherstone had three excellent races and placed 2-2-2 to take overall
second. Consistent Will Jeonney also
had a great day and really worked hard to take 3-3-3 places and the overall
third place. On Sunday again Michael Eccles just
dominated the track and took maximum points to take overall first in fantastic
style. Will Jeonney again showed his
skill driving the bike through the ruts at FatCats with ease.
Jeonney looked in the zone and took 2-2 places to take overall second.
Scooter Webster had some cracking battles on the track but won through to
take overall third placing 4-4 with Kenny Ryalls in fourth. Next up went the Youth Open group and
this group pulled the spectators both days as they were just sensational to
watch. On Saturday Connor Clark rode
three tremendous races to take overall first with maximum points from all three
race wins giving him first overall. Neil
Roe placed 3-3-3 and was most constant in a changing field taking second
overall. Ryan Thornhill recovered
well from a poor second race to come overall third placing 2-9-2. Sunday saw Jack Kelly have two excellent
races and place 1-2 to take overall first with terrific racing in an almost full
line up. Ryan Thornhill again was
reliable in his standard and took second overall placing 2-4.
Ben Halfpenny recovered very well from a poor first race to take the last
podium position in third overall virtue of his last race finish as he was tied
on points with Thomas Davies, leaving Davies in fourth. Next up went the Novices and they had a
mixed bag of results but the front runners were pretty constant over the
weekend. Ellis Russell scored on
Saturday with his first maximum points taking first overall with all three race
wins. Martin Bostock was chasing
hard behind finishing 2-3-2 to take second overall with some fine riding.
Sam Crompton recovered well from a shocking first race and placed 9-2-4
to take third overall. Sunday saw new boy Joe Sutton take the
glory with two cracking race wins. Maximum
points on the day saw Sutton atop the podium in first overall.
Ellis Russell again was running at the front and placed 2-2 to take
second overall in style. Martin
Bostock also kept the pace up and again was stood on the podium at the end of
the day in third overall. Next out went the Intermediate B group
and on Saturday saw impressive riding from Michael Graham.
Graham was awesome throughout the day and took maximum points to take
overall first. Recovering after the
first race to take places 7-2-2 and a deserved second overall was James Milne.
Stephen Newbould is looking better every meeting and took last podium
place in third overall. Sunday saw some excellent battling
between Jac Atkinson and Alex Smith for the race lead.
Race one saw Smith take overall first placing 1-2, but Atkinson took the
second race win and placing 2-1 had the better last race which meant that
Atkinson had a well earned overall first position and left Smith in second.
Michael Graham again showed his mettle to battle through to second
overall on Sunday placing 3-3 to do so. The Experts had their usual 2 motos and
with a full line up they packed the spectators rows deep at the ropes.
Saturday saw fierce battling with steady Daniel Hutchinson placing 2-2 to
get the overall first position. James
Lassu was tied on points with Hutchinson but the last race gave first to
Hutchinson leaving Lassu in second overall.
Glenn Fletcher got a fantastic start in the second race and ended the day
overall third with inspired riding. Sunday again saw a full line up for the
Experts and there was no denying Matthew Moffat some credit for some superb
riding againsy class riders. Maximum
points with two wins saw Moffat take first place prize monay.
James Lassu again was highly placed finishing 3-3 to take a great second
overall Third place was tied on
points but Daniel Hutchinson had the better last race with an excellent second
took overall third leaving Bryn Clarke in fourth overall. Thanks as usual must go to several
people; Team 90, Eddymed, Squad 90 marshalls led by Mick Sherriff, Lee Smith,
Score 90 consisting of Julie, Nic, Andrea and Chris and the sponsors and most of
all the riders! They were awesome to watch and everyone had a great
day. As well as top 10 trophies in all groups the club gave out sweets for
all the riders, free rides on the raffle and extra prizes to the top 10 Small
Wheel 85 riders! Top 10 Intermediate
B riders also got extra prizes and holeshot prizes were won by all the Youth
groups on Sunday and the Expert A groups on both days.
The dads race was won by the Rochdale Rocket Neil Waterworth riding
Thomas Davies' bike in style and was a great laugh.
Terry Hamer was black flagged for cutting the track, Chris Chapman
stalled it on the line (again), Gareth Pryce took a tumble or two and Mick
Sherriff will never be the same again! The
disco and karaoke on Saturday night went down a treat and it was lovely to see
everyone laughing and having a good time. Saturday

Racing MXC MCFederation Open
Meeting
Zak Biggs Adult B rider #185 Photo courtesy of MXCam A beautiful sunny day dawned for the 200+ riders who
decided not to watch the GP but ride instead! Ed and crew had prepared an
excellent track for the riders who turned out in their droves to have a
fantastic day of racing. As well as top 10 trophies in all groups the club
gave out sweets for all the riders, free rides on the raffle and holeshot prizes
in all groups! An awesome standard
of riding was seen throughout the groups with some fine racing for the many
spectators. Out first went the Autos and as usual there were plenty to
watch. Kian Collinwood powered
through the sand taking first place with maximum points.
Finishing 1-1-1 Collinwood showed the pack his back with some excellent
riding. Chasing hard was Lewis Wood
who was consistently good placing 2-2-2 to finish second overall.
Improvement after the first moto with places 5-3-3 saw Dalton Dring take
third overall just ahead of Oliver Johnson in fourth. Out went the 65s and again there were plenty.
Sammy Price looked fantastic and took overall first placing 1-1-2.
Christopher Mills took the last race win but Price had done plenty to
claim the top podium spot. Rhys
Upton placed 2-2-3 to take a well fought overall second ahead of James Scott.
Scott placed 3-3-4 to take overall third above Kurtis Griffiths in
fourth. Next out went the Small Wheel 85 group and as in all the
groups there were plenty. Joe
Jacques took overall first on the day placing 2-2-1 to take a well earned first
overall and stand on top of the podium. Keenan
Armstrong was unlucky in the last race as he was clean swept from his bike but
came back through well to take 1-1-4 and second overall. Troy Willerton rode
excellently through the sand and took 3-3-2 to take overall third with George
Grigg-Petit in fourth. Next out went the Big Wheel 85 group and as always they
were awesome! Macauley Madden
dominated the day and rode three excellent races to take overall first with
maximum points placing 1-1-1. Jake
Biggs had a fantastic day and looked to be enjoying himself to place 2-3-3 and
take overall second. John Foster
rode well and was consistently placed with 3-4-4 to take third overall ahead of
Lauren Collinwood. Collinwood
recovered well from a terrible crash in the first race to take overall fourth. Next up went the Youth Open group and they were just
outstanding. Sam Wragg chased all
day and pulled the last race win to take overall first with 2-2-1 places.
Daryl Wallis was consistent despite a starting crash in the second race
and placed 3-4-2 to take overall second. Damon
Brooks looked odd on for the win until he crashed out in the third moto but came
back through to place 1-1-12 and take overall third ahead of Luke Bull in
fourth. Next up went the Novices and they rolled up to the gates in
high spirits. Ross Armour was flying
and placed 3-1-1 to take an excellent overall first and claim the podium
pinnacle. Simon Barker recovered
well from a poor first race result to place 6-2-2 and take second overall.
Dave Thomas claimed the last place on the podium and was very consistent
all day to place 4-6-3 and take third overall just ahead of Paul Jackson in
fourth. Last out went the Intermediate B group and again plenty of
high jinks were seen! Zak Biggs flew
out the gate and dictated the pace to take overall first in style with maximum
points placing 1-1-1. Chasing hard
but unable to match Bigg’s speed was George Stanley.
Stanley placed 3-2-2 and took second overall with some excellent riding.
Stephen Newbould had a great day and claimed the final place on the
podium taking overall taking overall third placing 5-3-3. Thanks as usual must go to several people; Team 90, Eddymed, Squad 90
marshalls led by Mick Sherriff, Score 90 consisting of Julie, Nic, Andrea and
Chris and most of all the riders! They were awesome to watch and
everyone had a great day. Well done
to everybody for a great weekend of riding and we look forward to seeing you at

Championship Round 6 Race
Report: Lynsey Hamer Well the weather did it's best to spoil the day but Team 90
just got on with it on Sunday. Lee and crew at Preston Docks had prepared
a track that stood up magnificently well to the rain that fell throughout the
day trying to dampen the spirits of the 160 riders that turned out.
However the day ran perfectly and with three full blocks done and dusted for tea
every credit must go to the riders who just kept their machines going round a
challenging but great fun track! Out first went the Autos and there were plenty!
Ellis Jones was consistent all day and placed 2-1-4 to finish the day
overall first, in front of the chasing pack.
Brad Holden again held onto his places for overall second finishing the
day with a creditable 3-3-5. Lewis
Wood won the first race but had a poor last race placing 1-5-6 to end the day in
third overall just ahead of Joel Rizzi. Rizzi
improved through the day and took second in the last race to take overall
fourth. Out went the 65s and there was some excellent skill shown
in this race. Scott Russell had an
awesome day placing 1-2-1 to take overall first and earned his top spot on the
podium. James Russell never let up
the pressure and placed 3-1-2 to take second overall.
Last podium position went to Rhys Goodhall in third overall.
Goodhall placed 2-3-3 to take his spot just ahead of Kurtis Griffiths in
fourth. Next out went the Small Wheel 85 group who again rode with
flair. Luke Reading rode hard and
claimed first overall with some excellent riding.
Reading placed 2-1-1 and deserved first place.
Keenan Armstrong was unlucky in the second race after losing the lens in
his goggles couldn’t get back to the lead and placed 1-2-2 for second overall.
Stephen Cunliffe showed excellent skill negotiating the track and was
battling all day with Alex Hamer. Cunliffe
got the better in the last race and deserved the third place spot finishing
3-4-3 ahead of Alex Hamer in fourth overall. Next out went the Big Wheel 85 group and they were
breathtaking to watch. Jake Ryan won
the second race and placed overall first with some fantastic riding.
Sam Norris was unfortunate that although he won two from three motos he
was given a points penalty in race one and finished the day second.
Sam Godkin rode consistently well again in a very fast group and ended
the day in third overall just ahead of Joe Hodgson in fourth. Next up went the Youth Open group and these boys were fast!
Jack Kelly dominated throughout the day and took maximum points with style
winning all three motos. Second
overall went to Sam Wragg. Wragg
chased Kelly hard all day but just couldn’t get up to the front placing 2-4-4.
Consistent Neil Roe took overall third placing 3-3-5 just ahead of Zak
Biggs in fourth. Next up went the Novices and the usual full line up pulled
onto the gate. Despite a disastrous
last race Martin Bostock took overall first after winning the first two races.
Bostock placed 1-1-8 to take the top spot on the podium.
Liam Groszewski rode consistently well during the event to take overall
second placing 3-3-4. Coming through
the pack to win the last race brought Anton Faulkes up to third place overall
with 5-6-1 results just ahead of Steven Colley. Last out went the Intermediate B group and the top two
riders James Milne and David Durose tied on points.
After winning the last race Milne took the top spot placing 4-3-1.
Durose placed 2-4-2 and was pushed into second overall by some excellent
riding by Milne. Scott Sloane
recovered well from a poor first race and scored 7-2-4 to take overall third.
Steven Newbould had a terrible last day but still managed to pull off
overall fourth. The Experts had their usual 2 motos and Gavin Stevenson
improved throughout the day placing 2-1 to take overall first.
25 minutes plus a lap in tough conditions was by no means easy and
Stevenson deserved the top spot. Lewis
Belfield also improved finishing 4-2 to take secnd place overall just ahead of
Dean Houghton in fourth place. Overalls: Autos:

Racing MXC MCFederation Club
Championship Round 5 Race
Report: Lynsey Hamer A complete change in the weather saw Team 90 pull into Sand
Hutton for a weekend of practice and racing in glorious sunshine.
Chris and crew worked hard on the track over the two days and it was
agreed the track held up fantastically well to the pounding it took!
The weather was hot but the racing was hotter! A very high standard of
racing was seen throughout the groups and with the excellent spectating areas at
the track it was easy to get a clear view of the action. Out first went the Autos again with not only race day
points up for grabs. This was round
2 of the Auto Dominator Challenge and the Autos were very competitive.
Consistent Brad Holden took overall first for the first time and proudly
stood atop the podium placing 2-3-3. Connor
Cartwright recovered well from a dismal second race and took overall second.
Josh Hodges was also consistently well placed and took third.
Mentions must go to Lewis McLeary who DNF’d the first moto then placed
0-2-1 and also Kian Collinwood who was flying and won both race 1 & 2 til
bike problems took him out the third race. Out went the 65s and James Scott flew round the hard pack
of Sand Hutton. He took maximum
points from all three races taking overall first with 1-1-1.
Kurtis Griffiths was after him but couldn’t quite get past and finished
second overall with 2-4-2. In third
overall was Declan Hunter looking very smooth and consistent placing 3-3-3.
Overall fourth Patrick Jackson had an excellent second moto but struggled
in the last race finishing the day placing 4-2-6. Next out went the Small Wheel 85 group who were a mixed bag
of results all day. With the two
leaders tied on points Danny Boj took the overall win courtesy of winning the
last moto. Boj took first overall
placing 2-3-1. Dropped into second
overall was George Sim-Mutch. Sim-Mutch
placed 3-1-2 in a very impressive days riding as he looked on form.
Overall third also had a win to his credit.
Lewis Taylor rode well but suffered from a poor last race finishing
1-2-5. Next out went the Big Wheel 85 group and Lauren Collinwood
stamped her authority on the meeting finishing with maximum points placing 1-1-1
– despite starting the second race from dead last.
Collinwood rode like a demon and deserved the top spot.
Sam Godkin took overall second finishing 3-4-3.
Godkin was impressively consistent all day and well earned his place on
the podium. Third overall was Jack
Naylor who was unfortunate to be pulled off until the finish in the last race
after losing his silencer. Naylor
ended the day 2-2-15, just ahead of James Howarth who had a tremendous last race
to finish overall fourth. Next up went the Youth Open group and again this group was
awesome to watch with a very high standard of riding seen by all.
Daryl Wallis recently back from breaking his collarbone dominated the day
placing 1-1-2 for overall first place. Luke
Bull improved throughout the day and showed he was back in style placing 4-2-1
ending the day overall second. Neil
Roe had an awesome day finishing 2-3-3 to take the last place on the podium in
third overall just ahead of Zak Biggs. Next up went the Novices and as always they put on an
awesome show, and a variety of disasters was seen by the leaders.
Winning the first race was Martin Bostock but placed 32nd in
race two dropped him down the scale. The
second race was won by Dale Bult with his first ever race win, but a shocking
last race dropped him to 6th. The
last race was won by Anton Faulkes but a couple of huge crashes in the second
race stopped him from finishing higher than 7th.
Consistency was key, and Andy Lamb tied on points at the top of the
scoreboard placed 5-4-3 to take overall first in a hard fought battle on the
track. Second overall was Simon
‘Stig’ Barker placing 2-5-5 to take the second step on the podium.
Steven Colley improved drastically throughout the day and placed 9-3-2 to
finish third. Last out went the Intermediate B group and James Milne was
back and determined to take his predicted top spot, and he did so in style.
Taking first overall in fine style finishing 1-2-1 Milne took his
deserved place at the top of the podium. Just
behind him and chasing all day was the impressive Scott Hedley.
Placing 5-1-2 Hedley took
overall second with hard riding in the relentless heat.
David Durose rode well all day placing 3-5-4 to take overall third.
Ash Thompson recovered well after a poor first race to take fourth. The Experts had their usual 2 motos and Josh Spinks made
the day look easy. In the
unremitting heat he rode two 30 minute motos and looked all class on the track.
Overall first was well deserved by Spinks placing 1-1.
Second overall was the hard chasing Thomas Batty.
Batty finished 3-2 and was determined not to lose sight of Spinks.
Bryn Clarke looked good on the hard pack placing 2-3 for overall third
just ahead of Ryan Bruce in fourth. Another excellent day was had by all at Team 90’s latest
event. Trophies were given to top 10
in all groups, the Expert A top 5 shared a £300 cash pot and the top 10 Junior
65 riders took home extra prizes. Thanks
to Julie who had her usual charge of Score 90 and with Nic and Lynsey did their
usual perfect job. Thanks must also

also the excellent Eddymed. It all
bodes well for the club, and they are looking forward to returning to Preston

Winning Ways! 90
Racing MXC MCFederation Club
Championship Round 4 Race
Report: Lynsey Hamer
The day
dawned with blue sky and bright sunshine and almost 200 riders crammed into
FatCats Motoparc on Sunday. However by mid-afternoon a dark cloud gathered
and the day ended with pouring rain. However every credit must go to
Martin and Neil at FatCats as the track held up fantastically well to completely
different riding conditions - bone dry to wet, wet, wet! The rain could
not dampen the riders spirits and they carried on racing throughout to finish
the day in style. Out
first went the Autos with another big line up.
Lewis Wood rode the sand like a demon to take first place with 1-1-2
placements. Joel Rizzi chased hard
and caught him in the last and took second overall placing 2-2-1.
Ellis Jones recovered well from a poor first race to take third overall,
pulling back with 7-3-3 places. Right
behind him in fourth was consistently fast Connor Cartwright.
Out
next went the Junior 65s and some great battling was seen.
Jake Winnard flew through the sand and earned the top spot taking 2-1-1
placements to take overall first. Kurtis
Griffiths won the first race but couldn’t get back up there to take overall
second with 1-3-2 places. Lewis Hall
had a terrible first race but recovered well to take the points for third place
overall, just ahead of Thomas Dodsworth. Next
out went the Small Wheel 85 group and Keenan Armstrong yet again dominated the
field. Armstrong looks unbeatable at
the minute and took first place overall with maximum points from all three moto
wins. Joe Jacques chased hard all
day and took second overall placing 2-2-2. Third
overall was Lewis Robinson, again consistently fast and he took 3-3-3 to take
the last podium position, Next
out went the Big Wheel 85 group and Macauley Madden dominated the field with an
impressive maximum points score to take overall first.
Ben Appleyard was the most consistent in the chasing pack and took second
overall with 3-4-3. Kurtis William
recovered well after a shocking first race to take overall third.
Jack Naylor took fourth overall after a late start in the last moto saw
him drop points scoring 2-3-12. Next
up went the Youth Open group and these were awesome to watch.
Tied on points for first place were Lewis Riley and Neil Roe.
Riley scored 3-1-1 and took the top spot by virtue of the last moto win.
Roe scored 1-2-2 so dropped to second, but both riders rode fantastically
well in the tough conditions. Zak
Biggs was also mixing it with them scoring 2-3-3 to take overall third in front
of Joe Trueman in fourth. Next
up went the Novices and they had their usual fun on the track.
James Wren was most consistent and took overall first scoring 3-2-3.
Anton Faulkes recovered well from a bad crash in the first race to take
7-1-2 places for overall second. Ellis
Russell had a blinding day taking places 2-4-5 to take his highest finish for
the club in the dizzy heights of third overall.
Pete Swannack also recovered well from the first race to take fourth
overall. Last
out went the Intermediate B group and Adam Brown was awesome to watch.
Brown took overall first scoring 1-3-1 in a very fast group.
Dean Hakes was also right at the front and scored scond place overall
scoring 2-1-3. Paul Keats chased
hard and rode consistently well to take third overall with 4-2-2, earning the
last podium position in front of David Durose in fourth. The
Experts had their usual 2 motos and with 2 x 25 minutes plus a lap races the
riders gave the track the thumbs up for fitness training!
The standard was as always very high and Josh Spinks rode awesomely well
to take overall first. Even though
in the second race his goggles broke Spinks took an excellent overall placing
1-2. Second overall went to Jad
Goodwin after some great riding saw him place 2-3.
Third overall went to James Lassu. Lassu
had a puncture in the first race, but the 450 saw him win the second and take
overall third placing 5-1. An
excellent meeting despite variable tough conditions saw Team 90 complete the day
at FatCats for the first time in two years.
Score 90 did their usual excellent job so every credit must go to Julie,
Nic, Jodie & Andrea. Squad 90
marshalls directed by Mick Sherriff and Eddymed also did a sterling job for the
club & riders. Trophies were
given to top 10 in all groups, the Expert A top 5 shared a £300 cash pot and
the top 10 Big Wheel 85 riders took home personalised phone decals from
Motoshack. All in all an outstanding
meeting despite the torrential rain that followed!

Championship Round 3 Race
Report: Lynsey Hamer Expert winner Jamie Jackson – Courtesy of Racing Photos Big Wheel 85 winner Jack Naylor – Courtesy of
Racing Photos Auto winner Lewis Wood – Courtesy of
Racing Photos The rain did its best to stop play at Barnoldswick but the
track was a credit to Phil & crew and held up to the weather. The hard
work by the track crew showed as the track took the rain all day.
An excellent turnout had a great day (if a little damp) and full three
blocks were completed by 16:30pm. Out first went the Autos with everything to ride for.
This was round 1 of the 2011 Auto Dominator and it got off to a flying
start. Early leader was Lewis Wood
and he kept it most of the day taking first place overall with some cracking
racing placing 1-1-2. Second and
third place couldn’t be closer, tying on points.
Second place went to Joel Rizzi after his performance in the last race
saw him take the win in the last moto, and place 3-3-1.
That left Kian Collinwood in third after some awesome riding by him saw
him place 2-2-3, in front of Lewis McLeary in fourth. Out next went the Junior 65s and this was clearly dominated
by flying James Scott. Scott powered
round the track, taking maximum points with all three race wins unchallenged.
Dane Clarke Reeves chased hard and took a well fought second place with
4-2-2 places. Consistent Harrison
Burton rode well taking 3-3-3 and ending in third overall just ahead of Kurtis
Griffiths in fourth. Next out went the Small Wheel 85 group and again this had a
clear dominator in Keenan Armstrong. Armstrong
threw his bike round the track with ease and took maximum points from all three
race wins to take first overall. Chasing
hard and never letting up was Luke Reading.
Next out went the Big Wheel 85 group and Jack Naylor was
back and put his stamp on the meeting. Naylor
was awesome to watch and took overall first with 4-1-1 placements.
Second overall and racing hard was Sam Godkin.
Godkin took the first moto, but couldn’t keep the pace placing 1-4-2.
Jake Ryan rode consistently well for a well deserved third overall
placing 3-3-3, ahead of Tayla Smith in fourth. Next up went the Youth Open group and this saw some
changing. Daryl Wallis took an early
lead and placed 1-1-3 to take first overall in style.
Scott Hail picked up the pace all day, winning the last moto to take
overall second with 3-3-1. Zak Biggs
recovered well from a poor first race to get straight back up with the leaders
to take third overall. Great results
in races 2 & 3 gave Biggs the points to just squeak past Jack Mac in fourth. Next up went the Novices and they were great to watch.
Winner after placing 2-1-2 on the day with three excellent races was
Anton Faulkes. Second overall with a
fantastic second race was Mike Dixon, earning it after placing 6-2-6.
In third overall after a terrible second race was Luke Kay.
Kay looked on for the win after winning race one, but the second race
result meant even after winning race three the points weren’t enough to go
back to the top. Fourth overall
despite a poor last race was Kane Hampson. Next out went the Intermediate B group and these changed
the mix all day with a different winner each moto.
After improving his results each race finishing 3-2-1 overall first went
to Andrew Lawton, who had fought well to get up there.
Richard Lennard won the first race and placed 1-3-3 to take second
overall, tied on points with Stuart Dawes but with the better last race result.
Dawes won the second moto and placed 2-1-4 for third overall right in
front of Jordan Dawes. The Experts had their usual 2 motos and how fast was the
leader? Jamie Jackson put on a
breathtaking show for the spectators with a display of dominance on the track
Maximum points for A smooth days riding for all concerned with no serious
injuries or delays and every credit must go to the new look Team 90 for an
excellent day. Trophies were given
to top 10 in all groups, the Expert A top 5 shared a £300 cash pot and races 2
and 3 holeshot winners took a set of goggles and a photo CD from the meeting.
Thanks to Julie who had her usual charge of Score 90 and with Jodie and
Nic did their usual perfect job. Thanks
must also go to new Clerk Lee Smith for showing his stuff, and the Squad 90
marshals led by Mick Sherriff were sterling looking after the riders on the
track. Lastly thanks to the 15
second board girl Emma who was a great success but could have distracted the
riders from winning those holeshot prizes. It
all bodes well for the club, and they are looking forward to returning to

2 Club Championship Finningley Race
Report: Lynsey Hamer
Alex Hamer Small Wheel rider for Team 90 –
Photo courtesy of Ash Smith Digital MX Photography Team 90 rolled into Doncaster MotoParc at
Finningley expecting the reputation and popularity of the track to bring riders
from all over and they weren’t let down. Over
250 riders poured into the venue filling all the groups gates and putting on a
fantastic show for the many spectators. Every
credit must go to Ed Bradley and crew at DMP for track preparation as Finningley
took a pounding from the riders with some cracking racing going on. First out went the Autos and another big group of
little riders lined up. Honours on
the day went to Oliver Johnson after some awesome racing saw him finish 3-1-3 to
put him overall first. Second
overall went to Lewis Wood who rode consistently well throughout every race to
place 4-2-2. Lewis McLeary had a
poor last race but it wasn’t enough to stop him from taking third overall just
ahead of Ellis Jones. It could have
been a different story had Jones not had a terrible first race as his results
showed him placing 21-3-1 to take fourth. Next to hit the track were the Junior 65s led all
day by the breathtaking Harry Wichman. Wichman
was superb through the sand at DMP and took a deserved overall first with 1-1-1
maximum points victory. Leonni Tighe
showed some brilliant skill also to take 2-2-2 for second overall.
Consistently good and finishing right behind the front two were Kurtis
Griffiths and William Digby who tied on points but Griffiths had the better last
race finish to put him into third overall ahead of Digby in fourth. Next up came the Small Wheel 85 riders and Keenan
Armstrng again showed a clean pair of wheels to the chasing pack and took a
terrific 1-1-1 maximum points victory again.
Chasing hard and looking in fine form was Lancashire boy Luke Reading who
took second overall with 2-2-2 placements. Daniel
Bewley and Alex Hamer battled hard throughout the day but a poor second race
from Hamer saw Bewley take a hard earned and deserved third overall leaving
Hamer to take fourth overall. Up to the gate the Big Wheel riders rolled, and
this group promised some awesome riding from the minute the gate dropped.
At home in the sand was the excellent Macauley Madden taking a
well-deserved first place on the podium finishing with maximum points from a
1-1-1 result. Kurtis Williams and
Mitchell Meadows rode awesome races throughout the day fighting hard for their
places. Williams had the best day
taking second overall with 3-2-2 places. Meadows
took the last spot on the podium in third overall.
Mike Wall recovered well from a poor second race and came through to a
hard won fourth overall. Out next came the Youth Open group again looking
promising with a full line up, and they delivered some awesome riding.
Adam Sterry was out front and looking good from the start.
He kept the pace throughout the day finishing in first overall with
1-1-1. Fighting it out right behind
him came Adam Derbyshire and Kyle Platt. Derbyshire
had the best of it with 2-2-3 placements ahead of Platt who ended the day with
3-3-2 results showing how close the racing was.
Just behind them came Bradley Lofthouse who was only just off the pace in
fourth overall. In the full gate of Novices it was a mixed bag of
results. The battle for first was
wide open and flying through came young Chloe Chapman.
Chapman took places for 3-4-4 and was very consistent throughout to take
a deserved and hard won first place overall.
Straight behind her recovering from a poor first race result came Ricky
Higgins who fought back with determination to take second.
Martin Bostock must take credit for a fantastic last race which saw him
finish second in the moto and pulled him through the points to take overall
third. A mention must go to the
awesome riding of Dean Carter who took races 1&2 first place but crashed in
the last and was unable to finish taking him out the points. Yet another full gate of B riders rolled up to the
start gate and were dominated by Sam Harding.
Despite a poor second race excellent results of 1-8-1 took him to the top
spot and he finished first overall. Ashley
Thompson improved throughout the day and results of 8-5-2 showed that, with
Thompsons last race giving him enough points for second overall on the podium.
David Durose also pulled through the pack and ended with 10-9-3 to put
him into overall third just ahead of Michael Graham in fourth. Overalls: Expert A:

Docks Race Report: Lynsey Hamer
Dane Clarke Reeves and Koby Newbould
battling in the Junior 65 class - Photo courtesy of LGP Team 90 rolled into Preston Docks for the first
round of the Club Championship and were met by a track prepared to perfection by
Lee and crew. The premier venue in
the North West was ready and waiting and over 230 riders turned out to take part
in the excellent racing which ensued. Despite
being overcast to begin the day ended in bright sunshine and was completed in
time for tea. First out went the Autos and these little guys and
girls lined up raring to go. Ellis
Jones was first out the gate and took a first overall victory with 1-1-2
placements. Lewis Wood was right
behind in overall second and Joel Rizzi recovered well from an abysmal second
race to storm through to win the final moto giving him enough points for third
overall. Next to hit the track were the Junior 65s.
Rhys Goodhall started the day in style and continued throughout the day
to take a maximum points victory with 1-1-1 places.
Right behind him and never letting up the pressure came young Rossi Beard
with 2-2-2 finishes giving him overall second.
Dane Clarke Reeves was another rider to recover well after a terrible
result in the first race, with two third place finishes in races 2&3 giving
him the points for overall third. Next up came a big gate of Small Wheel 85 riders.
The racing in this group was awesome all day and highly competitive.
Winner on the day was Keenan Armstrong with 1-1-2 finishes under his
belt. His win was a hard fought
victory over Rusty Peebles who kept the pressure on all day and won the last
moto giving him second overall. Ben
Coleman and Dee-Jay Walker both had battles throughout the day and finished tied
on points. A marginally better
result in the last race gave Coleman the edge and saw him into the last podium
spot with Walker in fourth overall. Up to the gate next came the Big Wheel 85s, again a
full gate. Out front from the start
and looking in fantastic form came the local boy Sam Norris.
With another impressive maximum score finishing the day 1-1-1 Norris took
overall first in style. Second and
third place were hotly contested throughout the day with some tremendous racing
going on and finished tied on points. Tayla
Smith had a poor first race but fought his way through the pack in motos 2&3
finishing with a placement of 6-2-2. Local
boy Casey Connelly also rode three awesome races, but second overall went to
Smith due to the better last race finish leaving Connelly in third overall. Out next came the Youth Open group, and with
another full gate these were always going to be fierce to watch.
Damon Brooks took overall first with some bar to bar riding – and a
1-2-1 finish gave him a well-deserved top spot on the podium.
Kyle Platt was right there with him and a 2-1-2 placement gave him a hard
fought and earned second place overall. Just
behind but never taking the pressure off was the always impressive Reece Desoer
with some stylish racing giving him overall third. In the full gate of Novices it was always a battle
to get out front but the day was led by Anton Faulkes who took all three wins
with a maximum points victory of 1-1-1 to stand in a deserved first place
overall. Most consistent behind him
was Rob Little who took second overall, just ahead of Richard Chapman who took
third overall despite an atrocious result in the final moto. Yet another full gate of B riders turned up at the
start line ready to roll. Early
leader James Milne looked at ease on the track and rolled into first overall
with a 1-2-2 finish. Close behind
him was Callum Charnock who took the last two moto wins to take overall second
with a 4-1-1 finish on the day. Ashley
Thompson rode three great races and took third overall in style to end the day
on the podium. The Expert A group as always put on a fantastic
show for the spectators. Jamie
Jackson showed total dominance on the track and took the top place prize money
with a maximum points victory. Ricky
Lethaby improved throughout the day and ended in second overall.
Chris Shallcross also improved and ended the day with third place prize
money just ahead of local boy Sean Eckersley. Thanks again to Team 90 & Score 90 for their
usual hard work and dedication, and to all helpers on the day who helped run a
fun meeting. Next meeting is Round
